Why Praying Scripture is Powerful

Whenever you combine reading GOD's word and pray according to scripture, it will help you to apply GOD's Word to your life while growing deeper in your prayer life. GOD gave us His word and He wants us to pray His will, so by using His words when you pray with scripture does honor GOD.

I WANT IT NOW!

It is common for us to pray for the things we want, but praying scripture will help you align your desires with what GOD wants. And when your desires are aligned, that’s when you are most likely to see GOD move powerfully in your prayers. Therefore, try focusing on only one scripture to pray each day and make it a month long praying scripture challenge. You can personalize the scriptures while you pray them with the specific things your family needs. Also, get your family to understand these prayer applications and watch GOD's word manifest in your lives.

Finally, while you are praying according to scripture and praying according GOD's will, you will grow in your understanding. You will begin to understand GOD's sovereign, moral and permissive will.

GOD's sovereign will is also called his "hidden " will. It is hidden because we are not aware of GOD's purpose until the decree has taken place. GOD's moral will is pure and holy; His will expresses his character and no Christian should feel guilty of making any choices when it comes from GOD'S word. The permissive will of GOD is when GOD allows a thing to happen or not, which can be frustrating if you are waiting and prayers are going unanswered. However, when you are able to understand the "acceptable and perfect will of GOD" (Romans 12:2) and not be conformed to this present world; your mind will be transformed into GOD's will and give you the power to walk confidently in His ways.

Please see the link on the various ways to pray GOD's will. Remember to..."Wait on the LORD;

Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!" Psalm 27:14
